Everything changes: seasons, environments, people, likes & dislikes, technology, time and you. I recently changed vocations from the Non Profit back to the For Profit sector.
Change is the constant that we all must adapt to at certain points in our lives. Our attitude and how we maneuver through these changes is important.
No matter how challenging change can be, make the decision to embrace it and make it work for you. Fighting against it will only leave you frustrated and spinning your wheels.
Like a wave, you can ride it out or go tumbling along while being thrashed and dragged about. Change is unavoidable.
The good news is… change can be better than you thought and even more rewarding but you’ll never find out if you’re in fear and constantly complaining. You’ll miss the beauty and blessing it brings. Hugs and love from me to you! Valarie
I’m not by the sea, but it’s raining here. I can’t see the sun behind the clouds but I know it there shining bright for someone else to see. There are no jasmines for to smell but just being able to breath the air means I’m alive and thankful to see another day!
Hugs and love from me to you. Valarie
In a day and age where time seems to move in a blink of an eye, don’t forget to make time for yourself! Take time to smell the roses and have a sip of tea, juice or coffee while you’re at it. Remember, you matter! So, take care of you or you won’t be able to take care of someone else.
“Why do you like Samantha, Nicholas?”
He shrugs his shoulders, fidgets a little and says, “I just do!”
“Samantha, why do you like Nicholas?”
She giggles, “I don’t know…because, because,” playing with her fingers, ” I just do!”
Is there a reason why they like each other? Or, maybe it’s as simple as they just do. No reason necessary.
Hugs and Love from me to you! Valarie
How many times have you looked back over your life and wish you could change something’s. How many times have you said or thought, ‘If only I knew then what I know now’.
The past is history, today is now and tomorrow is unknown.
There are people who planned for tomorrow yesterday but never lived to see it today. There are people who have plans for tonight but won’t live beyond this afternoon.
Enjoy every moment! Love every minute! Hugs & Love from me to you. Valarie
This time of the year, hearts are open and the spirit of giving is in the air. Kindness can be seen and felt from people who are normally caught in their own lives and needs. Children are excited as they count down the days to Christmas and vacation. It truly is a special time of the year for most.
Let us remember those who are not as fortunate, blessed even to enjoy this festive time of the year. Their only concern is their next meal or where they will lay their heads. Christmas is just another day and gifts will be something for others to enjoy. A child’s only thoughts and words will be “I’m hungry and I’m cold!” as they quietly bow their heads cry because there will be no toys for them to open.
I’m not trying to make anyone feel guilty for what they have, only to remind us to remember the people next door, your co-worker who has been fasting 3 or 4 days a week because they have no money to eat every day and the food at home has to last. Say a prayer for them and if possible share what you have. Embarrassment or pride will make them say they are fine so, don’t ask just give discretely and walk away. They’ll appreciate it more than words can ever express and please don’t wait or expect them to say thank you. If you see them avoid your eyes or, a tear starting to form, know you’ve touched their heart.
Love never fails, so keep showing it! – Valarie
